Snow Day
January 14th. It's a snow day for most kids so I am blessed to have two teens, Lily and Lara, whose moms said they could spend the night and get snowed in with me and the puppies. I let them sleep in a little and got up to let the puppies out and even though they had never seen snow, they loved it! My lilac bush was all bent over the outside door, forming a little tunnel for them to go through. Another developmental hurdle that they all succeeded. Being from Tennessee, I doubt they've ever seen snow, so they are just discovering how to play in it and are having a ball. My own Maggie loves snow. She has already been out earlier and was rolling around in it, making snow angels. Snow is for kids and dogs. Husband Dave was not too thrilled to go out and shovel the driveway. I probably won't see him until much later tonight as the commute is supposed to be a bear tonight. Lucky for me I have two helpers. Well, my paperwork is piling up so I better tear myself away from the beautiful view outside my window and buckle down with the much-needed paperwork and filing that goes into running a dog rescue. Bye for now.
